Report on Meeting 1 – Helsinki 5th and 6th April 2017
The University of Helsinki hosted the first network meeting. The meeting focused on developing a consensus as to what constituted a makerspace, and also explored how far makerspaces aligned with early childhood educational philosophies. Training sessions included discussions on: Research Integrity and Ethics, Gender and Equity Issues and Media Training and Dissemination.
An open workshop delivered by Art & Craft School Robotti on electronic craft closed the two days of the first network meeting in Helsinki, with approximately 40 attendees.
